VI International Tunnelling Forum

It has already become a tradition that the cycle of conferences of the Polish Road Congress each year is filled with a Forum devoted to tunnel construction and operation.

We would like to invite you to the next, 6th International Tunnelling Forum. In this edition, we will also be hosting speakers from abroad representing best practice and knowledge in the subject matter of the event. The Tunnelling Forum’s standing is confirmed by its patronage by the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association ITA-AITES and the Tunnelling Technical Committee of the World Road Association PIARC.

This time we are meeting in Bielsko-Biała, however, for your convenience the meeting will be organised in a hybrid form. On the last day of the conference, you will have the opportunity to take part in a technical visit to the construction of the tunnel on the S1 route Przybędza – Milówka (the Węgierska Górka bypass).

During the Forum, we will discuss legal aspects of tunnel investments, we will deepen the subject of changes to the Geological and Mining Law and its impact on tunnel investments in Poland.

Another important aspect will be a session devoted to geological, geotechnical and hydrological reconnaissance of tunnel investments.

The next day of the Forum will be devoted to the subject of tunnels, from their design to the choice of appropriate technology, their equipment (insulation, drainage, safety systems), and will be rounded off by a session on tunnel operation, where we will share our experience from both tunnels on the national road network and tunnels on the urban road network.

Event with simultaneous translation Polish/English.
